Fritos CHILI Pie made its debut in 1932, soon after Elmer Doolin and his family started The Fritos Company. Elmer and his brother made batches and batches of Fritos corn chips out of their mother, Daisy Dean Doolin's, kitchen. To help market Fritos, Daisy started creating recipes for a wide range of foods that included Fritos corn chips as a key ingredient.

One of the classic recipes that Daisy developed is Fritos CHILI Pie. Her original recipe involves taking a bowl of Fritos corn chips and topping it with beef chili, cheese and onions. Voila -- Fritos CHILI Pie! Over time, it has become an American favorite.
